Debunking four common misperceptions of entrepreneurship

There is a lot of talk these days about entrepreneurship. But assumptions about the nature of entrepreneurship—and particularly assumptions about what makes entrepreneurship good—often go unquestioned.

We take for granted that small businesses create the most jobs and are most adept at solving problems. Likewise, we assume that the typical entrepreneur is in his early 20s, on a laptop in borrowed space.

In this video, Dane Stangler of the Kauffman Foundation draws upon the foundation’s latest research in an effort to debunk these assumptions and others for what he believes they really are—myths.
